Do I qualify?

A UK work permit or Tier 2 (General) visa allows a visa holder to undertake employment with a UK company. Applicants will need a confirmed offer of employment from a UK based employer in the form of a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

Applicants will also need to meet the maintenance requirements of £945 cash savings held for 90 days and for any dependents £630 each. Finally applicants will need to meet the English language requirement.

Any dependant children will have access to public schools, and the main visa holder and any family members will have access to the National Health Service. The visa holders spouse or partner may also be able to work in the UK or study without any restrictions.

Once a UK work permit visa holder has continuously lived in the UK for a period of 5 years, they may be entitled to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). The visa holder can spend 180 days in a continuous 12 month period to meet the continuous residence requirement
